Section 104. Legal Basis for Employment in Estonia by Aliens Temporarily Residing in Estonia
(1) An alien temporarily residing in Estonia may work in Estonia if the employer has registered their short-term employment with the Police and Border Guard Board or if their right to work in Estonia arises directly from law or an international treaty ratified by the Riigikogu.

(2) An alien temporarily residing in Estonia is prohibited from working in Estonia if the employer has not registered their short-term employment with the Police and Border Guard Board, except in cases provided for in an international treaty or law ratified by the Riigikogu.

(3) An alien staying in Estonia without a legal basis is prohibited from working in Estonia, including an alien who has an obligation to leave Estonia imposed on him by an administrative act or a court decision, is prohibited from working in Estonia.
